Default Mobil 1 05W30 query

As above guys, have Mobil 1 in and want to top up but cant find 05W30 anywhere. Been to the usual places Halfords, Shell garages etc. so it's back to the dealer to pay them a premium for a litre.....

.....or can I add another brand of oil, same rating or a similar Mobil 1, say 15W40 etc?

Any advice appreciated.
Thanks

Are you in the UK? I ask because the grades you state are not generally available here - if anywhere! Mobil 1 is available in 0/40 and 15/50 grades with a 5/40 grade available through SOME Subaru dealers as the approved Mobil grade for the Impreza turbo. The 5/40 is not available "in the shops", so if this is what you have, you will need to go to the Subaru dealer who serviced your car.

Thanks JohnD, I am UK, Hampshire based.
I was sure the dealer put 5W in as 0W was not recommended according to them. Perhaps I got the 5W30 idea from the manual. Will put an equivalent 5W30 in for now, as only want a dash. Appreciate the reply.

I really wouldn't start mixing grades and makes of oils. If you only need a little either phone the dealer and make sure you get the correct oil or actually go to the dealer and get them to top it up.

Tony.
