Question Pro Boost - What % to use?

I've just bought some Silkolene Pro Boost to keep in the boot for the times when I can't find Optimax but don't know what percentage to use. The tin shows usage rates of between 1% and 3% but gives no indication of how many points that improves octane by so what is the recommendation? Does 1% = 1 point? I seem to remember reading somewhere that 1 can (1 litre) per tank (60 litres) is fine and that's 1.7%. Presumably there's no problem filling up again from 1/4 tank and chucking another tin in? There is no info at all about this on the Fuchs web site. Thanks.

Think its half a can per tank, but TSL will advise. Not sure what rating that gives, but expect its brings SUL upto 100 RON.

The instructions on the side are sheeeite.

Hmm - this stuff is crap - I have used it and can confirm, its like a placebo and seems to have no effect - I once used 3 tins and it was nowhere near as potent as a bottle of NF - you have been warned!!

Seriously put the whole tin in - and when you've used it up get some Millers instead and if you want some proper booster get some NF.................

Ditto what Fangoria says.
Used to use this on my last car, definately not as effective as NF.

Beginning to wish that I hadn't bought this stuff now but TSL's advert in ScoobyShop bums it up to high heaven... Silkolene stuff is usually top quality too. I suppose it'll do for emergencies...

It's still gonna be of use, it's not as if it's not gonna work, it's just not as effective IMO as NF.

Chuck them in over the weekend and go have a laugh !!

Better than 38 quid for 3 bottles of NF !

Lasts a lot longer than Pro Boost though.

I`m only on a UK car though, so dont use much.
Was a bit stuck today, so had to pay more than normal from Pentland.
Normally get it ordered as trade.

Erm, that is about 18 tanks of fuel ( at normal 50 ml / tank dose ), that's a lot of miles even with a modded scoob!
Unless you use a bottle a tank .. then its Some modded motor

Vully

And why would I pay £10.56 when I get can it for £10........... Others can get it for £9 on trade price!!

I use a bottle a fill up - a little more when on track - sometimes I use a few drums of race fuel.............

My car is mildly modded - if I get my Turbo sorted (current one is faulty) I should be at 500bhp on a 2 litre - so like I say (mildly modded)
