All of a sudden: Walbro fuel pump emtting a high strained whirring noise!
anyideas?
fuel pressure seems fine..
but the noise is similar to when I had to run a 12v feed to it whilst I was diagnosing a fuel related problem (dead clifford fuel guard)
its very loud and sounds like its running quie quickly.
doesnt normally make this much racket.
I just finished a 2hr fast Motorway run in soem serious heat (all gauges- oil pressure/temp fuel pressure were fine mind you)
any ideas? and should I risk a run over to USC (pod) tomorrow? or am I asking for trouble?
thanks

Mine makes a buzzing / whine which can be heard under the car especially! A it's a wagon it is also noticablewhen turning the ignition on but before starting, as fuel pressure builds up.
Also, found it is noisier the lower the fuel level in the tank, guess it is not as covered!
