Was that the advice of a "pub tuner" The mods you are proposing are fine. (except the DV )

I think 350 will be a push (not sure on the limits of the 04 turbo)

The safe bits you have taken care of, ie fuel pressure / flow and a remap, so as long as you do it all in tandem, you will be fine.

Id heard a couple of people experience rather high det by replacing the cat back on these cars (not DP) hence the remap is essentail.

Best to take the advice of an expert like BRD, Power Eng or TSL etc...

MB - planning on replacing the turbo as well

ps he works for a well know tuner in scotland, but i dont think anyone would go near them as they have a bad reputation, well i wouldnt just wanted advise as i defended the scoob saying that they are built for upto 400bhp

You may have to go down the front mount route to get your target, but remind him there are classic UK and STi spec cars pushing reliable 400 bhp and more on standard internals

It depends on what turbo you have on standard and also what model it is.

350 won't blow it up. Despite a lot of hot air being talked, no one is getting well over 320 BHP at Star with the single scroll OEM new age STi turbo so far.

20G will give you an easy 350.

16G will give you about 340-345 at Star on Optimax if you have 1.25 bar at 6000 RPM, headers, FMIC etc.
