Fuel Surge
Well i had the scoob on track today at the SIDC Day at Knockhill & i have to say i am overly impressed ............................... but for one point
FUEL SURGE
Coming out of the hairpin i was getting a mega surge & cutback
The question is .............. (MY04 Sti, blitz nur spec r, 1 cat, sti panle filter, turbosmart d/v) do i need the uprated fuel pump & regulator ??
PS this was happening with just a little more than half a tank of fuel !!
Cheers in advance
Stephen

I hill climb my Stiv3 seriously. I will get the fuel starvation you describe with 1/3 tank due to the fuel staying to one side or the other of the tank while cornering hard, ie a Hairpin...
Two solutions:
Fill the tank more
Fit a Swirlpot.
The latter has two solutions too.
Swirl pot from Powere Station in Cheltenham has a small pot in the engine bay, filled constantly by the normal pump. A high pressure pump mounted on the pot feeds the engine all the time. Expensive at £400+ fitting.
Secondly, MRT in Australia make a high flow pump , tank mounted with a 'swirl pot' fitted to it so it all is in the tank. Price unkown. www.mrtrally.com.au
