who makes a silicone turbo inlet pipe?
doing sum research, i need a new inlet pipe due to a split, and rather then doing the job and refitting a crappy black plastic one, i want a nice easy to fit red one
i know samco do a pipe, but ive heard sum storeys about it collapsing under very high boost and genral shodyness
seen a perrin version (anybody in the uk stock these?)
BPM or sumthing (dont have any info on these)
GGR (belived to be samco ones re badged??)
anybody else or experiances of any of these?
read a few threads on 22b but it was mainly people saying the samco one is crap

believe the samco one has been improved of late micky.
BPM and AVO are same make, think scooby mania ad jap innovations sell these. I think you are correct re GGR one.
Also believe Roger Clarke sell one, but cant remember the make
Neither are easy to fit, due to fiddly ness.
They arent cheap either.

AVO for me from Jammie at www.J-W-Racing.co.uk as it is very good quality/fitment/price and replaces the hoses from MAF to the turbo unlike many other silicon hoses that replace only one factory part.
By the way it doesn't need unbolt of the intake manifold to fit it that is one more advantage, believe me!

No - but I did pay £600+!!
At the time the Samco alternatives were crap - as Christian Ruellan would confirm on his 2.5 litre.....
Bit like the issues with the Gruppe S crap - I wish I'd paid top dollar following the expense I incurred on this **** - and ultimately binned the crap and went for something that worked like H&S - I'm talking up-pipe..... and DONT talk to ME about fitting -practicalities and making sure the flanges were flat
Next project is to sort the stereo - for the 1st time ever I heard amazing Scoob system and by a fecking neighbour of mine - JBL 10inch jobbies that produced 800wrms each - and boy could you feel the bass....... heaven - Alan Macrea should ditch those ****tie JL Audios - these JBL Proline shobbies were amazing!!! - rant over

IIRC the Samco pipes retail at £199 and the MRT/AVO/BPM retail at £311. Lord knows what Perrin charge for theirs looks good though...
The Samco has improved of late and if you use a catch can you can lose all the pipes except the BOV return. This greatly improves any internal protrusions. It is stiffer now and less likely to collapse and can be modded to definitely not collapse easily.
The MRT pipe will only fit with an aftermarket induction kit unless you modify the std airbox position.

It looks to be a straight copy of the STi part

It isn't that much smaller than the Perrin and costs £76 for your local Scoob dealer. The downside is that the cost of moving the PS res, which I calculated at around £80 for the STi bits. Add the 2 together and you may as well buy the Samco!
