Question sti type ra gearing?

Thinking of getting a ra but been told they have very short gearing.
what sort of revs will it be sitting at 80mph as i use the motorway a lot.

how much of a diffrence to the wrx,what sort of rpm does that sit at 80mph?
sorry about the daft questions but im on the motorway a lot.

4000rpm or mine does any way (my95)

at 80mph on my speedo im sitting at about 3600rpm, but if its 80mph on the gps im sitting at 4000rpm

would tend to think gps would me more accurate as its updated every second iirc

whats the big deal, if anything it might help you drive slower on the motorway bit i doubt it, not fitting too loud an exhaust is the key i think

my mate has the ra my94 and it is absolutley ballistic and it does top out about 120 but he selling it due to petrol cost. might be somthing to think about if u do mega m/miles

On the later RAs the gears aren't quite as short as the early ones. Mine's an MY99 and although the gearing is shorter than my old UK turbo it is quite happy trundling along the motorway.

I probably wouldn't use it for everyday motorway driving, however to say the acceleration is wicked is a total understatement
