Unhappy Clunk noise when braking

Hi, when i step on the brakes I get a clunk noise form the front (left I think) of the car, I've had it over the pit with the wheels off and found nothing loose. Any Ideas what it is?? Thanks in advance for any help.
Cheers

it may be that you have changed the brake pads recently and left off the two little *L* sheped pieces of metal that stop the specer plates knocking.
this leads to a slight clunking noise AT SLOW SPEED ONLY.
ie 5mph or so.
if the brakes were changed, did you use plenty of copper grease on the back of the pad?
if it happens at high speed then I doubt its this and Im sorry for wasting your time.

sorry

You're not missing the anti-rattle clip (Not sure what it's ACTUALLY called) from the caliper are you? Compare both front calipers see if there is a metal clip on one and not the other - you can see it without removing the wheel.

I had a clunking with my brakes and thats what it was. £13 for a replacement from a dealer.

Are these single, twin or four (or more) piston callipers?

The 4 pot calipers seem to make a little clunk, which is the pads moving in the calliper.

Default Noise

I think you've hit the nail on the head, Will check it tonight. They're the four pot upgrade to a MY94 turbo.
Thnks for all the help
John
