Ive got a baileys on my escort rs turbo, prety standard really, so was wondering what would be the nicest on an sti v8
i can think of the baileys, turbosmarts, hks, blitz, greddy, sard and forge
basing it on volume and pleasurable sound

a dump valve will
make it stutter on occasions from low revs and every now again simply stall the engine
well this is what happened to me, and when I got sick of the noise I took it off and you can then notice a marked improvement in response.
obviously if you like the noise then great, I did for awhile then it got on me nerves so off it came

I did fit a HKS SQV to my Scoob for a few weeks.......I have never been one to listen too much to what others say cos apart from the running issues (which I accept) its all down to personal preference. I did however get fed up with the tsccching all the time and the looks that I seemed to get from everybody within a mile radius So I removed it and refitted the original oem Recirc valve. I will admit that the car feels much better, smoother, better idle etc having refit original and I purchased a Decat non resonated centre pipe with some of the proceeds from the sale of the HKS and now the sound I get is sheer bliss

i just fitted a MRT Twin trumpet VTA BOV, replacing the forge recirculating i had.... the car seems so much more lively for some reason!!! the pickup is noticeably better, and my turbo has stopped smoking!!!!!!! WEIRD but sweeeeeeeet!
it sounds lush!
not loud or high pitched. its just a calm tsscchh tsscchh with a bit of rally chatter coming from the induction kit to!!!! sounds awsome.
the girlfriend has even started occupying my driver seat alot more

I'm sure you're capable of making your own mind up. I have a HKS SSQV on mine. Whether they are of any benefit is an area of debate...but I know I wont be going back to an OE dump valve Nver had any problems with mine (fitted for 2 years).
