Advice on Intercooler Hose please
I'll be changing my intercooler-turbo "y" shaped hose this weekend in preparation for my TEK3. Car is MY01.
Which is easier?
A) Remove intercooler first(a right pig the last time I did it ) and then easily remove/replace the intercooler hose?
Or
B) Struggle to remove/replace hose with intercooler still on car?
Cheers
Mark.

Should take about 2 minutes to get the intercooler off with the hose on the bottom of it, what caused the problem last time ?

When I changed mine (MY00), the intercooler was easy enough to come off. Although I undid the smaller side bolts, rather than the bigger main bolts, but that's mainly becuase my tool wasn't big enough . The difficult part was actually getting the old hoses off the intercooler. They were well tight. Ended up cracking the old plastic crap Y-piece (no great loss though). There's absolutely no way I would have been able to get the Y-piece off with the intercooler still in place. If you've got small hands with double jointed wrists and elbows, you might be alright...!
