Default FSE Adjustable FPR mounting point

For those of you who have fitted one of the above, can someone suggest a good mounting point for the bracket? I can't see anywhere obvious... any pics would be great.

Thanks
Keigo

I saw some pics of this recently and people had it mounted in front of the brake master cylinder and attached to a bracket on the drivers strut tower.

If you do a search on FSE FPR you should find some.

Don't think the posts mentioned if the brackets have been fabricated by the owners.

Put mine on the passenger side rear of the engine after doing away with the top mount. Very convenient for the fuel filter, feed lines and return.

Hmmm. Still have top mount for the time being... will I be able to just keep it afloat, or does it need to be properly fixed on bracket?

On mine (a v5 STi) there's a bolt hole on the back of the inlet manifold on the right hand side. I put a bend in the bracket that came with the FPR and stuck it here, just under and to the right of the intercooler. Removing the hose for the dump valve and the brake servo whilst fitting it here made it all the more accessable.

I spent hours staring at the engine bay trying to find somewhere where there was actually space, so I know the feeling

i put mine on a bolt ontop of the inlet manifold. IIRC it holds a small bar where the spark plug leads clip onto. obviously made up a bar with a few bends in it so's it would fit ok, but it works so i'm happy

I would say there are a couple of things to remember when mounting any FPR: Heat and Vibration, neither are good for fuel lines or FPRs.

For this reason keep the FPR away from the Turbo and mount it securely to either the inlet manifold or the body.

May seem obvious but worth remembering all the same.

Am I being thick, but why is there no vacum hose fitted to the regulator above.
does this work instead of or in conjunction with the standard unit (on the end of the fuel rail by Turbo).

Scott,
There should be a vacuum hose on the top pipe to allow balancing the engine pressure / vac with the fuel pressure required by the injectors. Set static fuel pressure with hose removed.

This is a replacement regulator, that has an adaptor plumbed into where the original one was by the turbo.

At the time there was no inlet manifold to attach it to Scott.
