320BHP is about as far as you can go with a standard top mount.
I would go for an uprated top mount from then on, rather then the laggy and bumper butchering front mount method.

Do any of the newer STi TMIC fit (or be adapted to fit) MY99s? Are they much bigger than std ones?

Oredred an APS one today about £600 delivered looked like the best deal to me as it retains the twin entry set up which i am told is better for spool up should be sweet once i get my new turbo and headers
Thanks for the help.

I was running 330 bhp on the standard TMIC before changing to an APS no problem.

Do you have to modify the scoop seal with that. there can't be much clearance to the bonnet.

Scott, the top surface area is roughly the same. The difference is in the depth more than anything but the extra is accomodated below the cooler, not above.

If the extra is below the cooler, don't the samco (or whatever) fould on the gearbox bracket, as I know they do on a standard MY00 UK set-up.

It almost sits on top of the gearbox, yes, but with the P1 there was a fair bit of room which the APS accomodades tightly.

The fitting instructions for the aps call for the lug under the intercooler to be ground down. will definetly fit if u use the standard y piece though.
