I keep getting a knock reading on my safc ii when ticking over when at running temp?
Show about 3-4 on tick over then goes with the slightest rev.
Then the longer I drive the worse it gets but I can't hear a thing and it starts to build up. e.g. constant reading of say 4 then next set of lights, on tickover it climbs to 10 then drive of and it then reads a constant 6, then at next stop on tickover it reads 13, and so on and so on.
Pull over and turn everything off and it starts up again at 0 then 5 mins later it starts again really pi$$ing me off as I am thinking these something wrong with the engine but I have a knocklink fitted and never even get a flicker, and it works cos I hit fuel cut once and saw it light up the second yellow!
Anyone ever had anything like this?

i have took it to subaru and no2 piston had melted get it checked out if your not sure

I have an afc for about a month in my car and i have some knock reading (3-10 when cold and over 10-30 on days with ''high'' tempetures or if the car whose on sunny place parked) but i think thats ok. You most concern if you have readings above 80 and if your knocklink is on safe reading i think that everythink is ok.

Are your readings when driving or when ticking over?

When driving have 3-10 on idleding is about 8-9.
