Question Jacking

Not sure which forum to post this? Possibly Technical - but only 1 viewer!

Where are the jacking points on a MY00 Impreza Turbo, UK Wagon? For a hydraulic jack?

Get in quick while the post stays here!

Are you meaning to jack the car up with a trolley jack

If so the rear diff is good for the back but prot with some wood or carpet on top of the jack.

The front I am not too sure about but I have used the fairly substantial plate just behind the engine, bit tricky to get at with a cheap jack as it's a long way back. I put my front wheels on a block of wood to increase the ground clearance for the jack.

Thanks Tandy - wasn't too sure about the rear diff, as its light alloy

Well, I thought as the saloon is slower than the wagon - the wagon may have had more strengthening in places I could use

I have access to a 4 poster but its no good for getting the wheels off

I didn't want to jack it up and bend something! My calibra had its front wishbones bent by a garage outfit a few years ago!
