Default Boost gauge What should it read ???

Hi I have a Greddy boost gauge in my STi ver2 ,but its not connected up,do i connect the feed pipe to the pipe comming off the manifold going to the dump valve ?? or the manifold outlet next to it ??
Also when connected correctly what should the dial be showing(its the same gauge as this) Thanks for any help

Manifold to d/v is fine.

Depends what car it is, mods etc! Normally around 0.9bar

...or well below zero if not on boost at the time......

I put mine on manifold outlet. Looks like thats what its there for and very easy.
