Nitros oxide views
I'm just wondering Willgill, do you know this from experience or hearsay. ie do you have it fitted to your Impreza ?
Reason I ask is because if he gets no more replies to his thread & decides to go ahead an fit a kit ,then it could be a very costly mistake if its just what you've read.. no offence meant
BTW I haven't got a kit fitted to mine
Phil

Np I run my car at santapod quite often and I've seen at least a dozen scoobies turn up with little more than 150 jetted NOS tanks on them. from the forum only Christian R springs to mind but I'm sure there are many more. Insurance is the only reason I haven't bothered to add it thus far.

I looked into NOS aswell. You wont get much joy on this forum though...try wizards ofnos forum.
Bit trickier to fit than on most cars as the gap from intercooler to inlet manifold seems to be very small so you will need to find some way around it.
As mentioned above the gearbox can be a weak link as single shot nitrous can be hard on transmission. Progressive systems are advised for anything over 25bhp shots but the costs starts to creep up towards the cost of getting a bigger turbo and supporting mods.
In the end I went for the bigger turbo route but nitrous does work well on all turbo'd cars...and no it won't 'blow up your engine' if set up and used properly

BTW 150bhp shots of nitrous equate to 250bhp+ on turbo'd cars due to the cooling properties of nitrous (methinks?)
Whats your current spec and what times you running at santa pod?

Hmmm, agree with Bob. You can almost double the bhp rating of a jet on a turbo car.
There are a few people running it, but Christian isn't one of them, and he never has.
I have no personal experience, so can't offer any specific advice, apart from making sure it's done by some one whe "really" knows what he's doing.
It would be worth speaking to Chris at Power Engineering. He's done several Scoobs, and also knows the cars, and mapping side very well.
Just be sensible.
Mark.

as I said, I'm not using it, let me quote myself again
Christian R sprang to mind because I keep seeing him try to sell a kit, my bad for presuming he actually used it
