Default Gruppe-s headers

I have a set which I bought in one of the group buys to fit to a my99.I've changed my plans and intend to buy a my04 sti with ppp. Does anyone know if the headers will fit a 04, and would they be worth fitting...ie would they work with the ppp setup?

I am not sure but I dont think they will fit, I am not exactly sure what the difference is though all the adds for headers are usually seperated as new age or classic so there must be a difference.

How much are you selling them for then ?

Not decided what to do with them yet...but if they don't fit an Sti then I will sell them. They are brand new with the flexible up- pipe and gaskets too,so I suppose I'd look for around £360 inc postage...

I would not advise fitting them to a new age STi unless you're going to get the ECU remapped to suit. The new age cars run very active knock correction, which can need complete recalibration when changing key exhaust components.

Having said that, I've never seen one running aftermarket headers - maybe it is OK.....but on a classic it certainly disables knock correction to a great extent. This is arguably beneficial on a classic....but definitely not on a new age

the group s headers are meant for the newer cars in the 1st place thats why they have the 3 holes for the oxy sensors, they are getting fitted to classics but are really meant for newer cars

as when i 1st bought mine max who owns groupe s told me what car they were for

3 holes? I only found 1 in the headers and 1 in the uppipe, maybe that's why it's not spooling up as quickly anymore!
