I have a decated WRX03 with full Scoobysport exhaust and STI muffler that drives much better but if you decat your PPP you risk to break it as IDCycles are already high and they will go more than 100% in some areas.
Best choice is to buy a Prodrive downpipe (this is standard fitment with STI PPP) and Prodrive up pipe, big gains keeping your warranty.

It's obvious the more air needs more fuel (our cars work based on MAF, right?)...
The full decat works better than the Prodrive up-down pipes combo but requires more fuel, as simple as that!
If you have standard 380cc injectors they remain more time open to give the required amount of fuel the ECU disposes.
I have DD measured PPP cars w or w/o Prodrive up-down pipes and they have in some areas about 105-106% IDC, if you fit full decat these values will go more or less 110% and for longer time that isn't healthy for your engine which ever way you look at this!
Just my opinion and I have no connection with Prodrive as have in my car Scoobysport exhaust!
