Question HKS SSQV - Will it fit MY97?

Hi guys,

I have seen a HKS SSQV for sale at a good price, however it is off a Nissan Pulsar GTi-R. I believe the blow off valve is the same spec for all cars but the part that makes the unit make/model specific is the mounting flange it is attached to.

ie the diameter and shape of the pipe feed being the determining factor that allows you to attach it to your particular vehicle. If this is the case then:

(a) Will the unit fit directly onto a MY97 utilising existing hoses/simple modifications, or
(b) Is the unit totally unsuitable and not worth bothering with?

My next stage is to ask the seller what the diameter of the inlet pipe is attachd to the flange and check my existing pipework to see if it is compatable. I just wanted to check first with the experts out there to make sure the unit is Ok to use on my car running 16psi boost.

Thanks in advance!

Superfly,

I too have been looking into the HKS SSQV, the one ive seen does appear to have a strange set up, its bolted to a 6" straight pipe thats open at both ends

From what i gather u can make pretty much any dump valve fit with a bit of messing about, i think you can also buy fitting kits from HKS specifically for an impreza.

Cheers

Chris

Chris, is this all HKS SSQV or just the one for the GTi-R?

Thanks for the info. The valve is up for sale at a third of the retail price so I dont mind purchasing the exact fitting kit if required
