Question STi Head onto a WRX block?

Will it work?

MY02 WRX - planning for TD05/06 20G, MoTec, 550's, FPR, Walbro, new rods + pistons (undecided on supplier), catless up-pipe, possibly new headers (Gruppe-S) or port the existing ones.

Already got APS FMIC, 3" exhaust, CAI etc

If I change the rods + pistons anyway, the breathing (to my mind) would be restricted by the WRX heads. Changing the heads would also allow me to increase the rev limit.

I assume that STi v7 would be the choice, but are there VVT control issues with this?

You can lock the cams so they are not variable.

Speak to RSV racer. He has a complete V7STI engine for sale.
