CEL diagnosis?? not sure if ive decoded correctly
I managed to extract the fault codes given from my recent cel on event
the codes are
long long short short
long short
long short short short
now if ive decoded them correctly they give the following values
22
11
13
combined gives 46
these correspond to
11 crankshaft position sensor (or circuit)
13 camshaft position sensor (or circuit)
22 Knock sensor
46 neutral or parking switch or circuit
Have i decoded it correctly and where do i start looking as to a fix??
the car has run ok today, and after doing an ecu reset no codes are given
any help would be appreciated

You're right with crank, cam and knock sensor.
Do the usual thing of checking all the connections - especially the earths, as these are known to deteriorate over time.
I thought you replaced the crank sensor quite recently?
There are some workshop manuals for the turbo cars linked from Chris Palmer's page: http://www.saxonfields.freeserve.co.uk/
The diagnostics section should give you some hints about what sort of voltages and resistances to measure. I know it's not ideal for your car, but it should be a start.

Hi DNB,
yes i have replaced the crank sensor,,, mind you it was a second hand one..
i was looking to do the earth mod upgrade
still wainting for peanuts to send the piccys (hint hint)
i have a haynes manuel for the legacy, which uses the same engine as mine,
i will have a scan through for the test values..

Mart, oo, sorry didnt realise you awere waiting on little ol me
pics just taken, will be mailable in a few hours.
basically, for your CEL have you done a reset? did it then all calibrate and the CEL flash ok?
it is stand alone flashes, not a cuimulative one, i.e. three seperate error codes.
I have had a couple of sensors flash up when running a diagnostic, usually after Ive been dicking around cleaning or playing  where I shouldnt have been!
earthing as follows:
I used 6.4mm ring terminals and a nice chunky gauge of copper stranded wire.
I think you need 8mm terminals for the turret mounts (2no.)
I measured in-situ for the lengths from:
batt neg to nearside turret, batt neg to nearside manifold.
batt neg to a mounting point inside the ecu cover plate.
off side manifold to offside turret.
batt neg to a mounting just by the battery above the rad on the nearside.
I think thats it, NickTheHead did his with Mike a few weeks ago and they made me up a spare cos theyre nice like that.
the larm goes off when you disconnect the battery negative, get a friend to crimp the terminal when you try to fit the "tails" to batt neg.
you will need a longer batt neg bolt to hold all the ring terminls.
it is a very subjective mod with 50% saying its all hocus pocus and does nothing, 50% have noticed a difference. I am in the latter, it feels to me like the car is more responsive, everything feels a little smoother, a little sharper.
I will mail out the pics when they load up from the diggie.#
