Question MAF sensor

Could someone please tell me if this is the correct part number for MY93-MY96 MAF sensor. 22794AA010

I elieve that this is only about £70 or so instead of the usual 200 because it is a kit (only the sensor not housing). Am i right?

Many thanks
Stuart

Hi
Where do you buy just the sensor as i can only find the whole thing?
And also are there any special tools required for fitting?

Thanks
Dave

The above part won't fit the 93-96.

The 99-00 cars have a MAF insert that can be removed from the assembly whereas on the pre99 cars it's all one unit.

Your best bet is a scarp dealers where they are about £80. New it will be over £200.

I may have 2nd hand one kicking around myself.

can you tell if a maf is on its way out but simply disconnecting it while it is running and seeing if it dies or not?
also how does the person selling a second hand one know if it works or not?
Stupid questions but i just want to know the answers!

Turbo Dave, your MAF sensor will be redundant when you fit your Link ECU!!!

Where can you purchase a MAF sensor for a MY99 as from the problems I have read it may pay to have a spare just in case before I start to modify anything.
Obviously Subaru dealers are an option but is there an independent that supplies such things?
Thanks

No.

He probably doesn't. Used MAF sensors aren't worth bothering with IMO. Sure, it might be 100%, but if it's 90%, or 80%, it'll probably be causing det within a few weeks. Bite the bullet and buy a new one.

Roguck, your nearest Subaru dealer is likely to be the best option. Alternatively, someone was recently organising a group buy on them in General, would be worth hunting out the thread if you're after one. The part number is the one Coulty quoted up top - 22794AA010

I bought a MAF sensor the other day off a subaru breaker Green label 22680 AA160 A36-000 R60 he told me the only bit that mattered was the R60 mine was for a 96 turbo wagon & paid £50-00 for it.
Sadly it didn't cure my problem

I have it on very good authority that Xtreme Scoobies has some in stock at a very reasonable price Roguck. You could do worse than give them a try.
