dead battery
the battery on my car has been toattly dead for over 2 weeks before i got around to changing, some people have been putting ideas into my head that this would reset the ecu to standard, this wouldnt wipe out the ecutek software silly question but no harm in asking

stevebt - As John says it won't return to the standard map. I asked him the same question last week, amongst others 
and mines been running as it was before i had the same trouble as you.

as the idle is out of control and could of been related. its going to be expensive i bet,
