Default Techedge narrowband output to Link lambda input

Has anyone done this successfully? Does it require any rescaling?

it will need rescaling and buffering to make sure input inpedance of link doesn't upset the lambda reading. V1.5 and v2 are less prone to this effect.

provided it's under a volt you will be fine as the link records voltage rather than lambda itself

I have done this on car, with a V2 ,but i only feed it to the Link ecu as i have the AFR display that comes with the V2.

On my car a 103 on the Link log,is the same as 11,0AFR,so it´s not right on the scaling, but as long as you know what it is ,then no problem

What are you planning on doing with the reading?
The info the v1.5 supplies is useless for 'measurement' - it simply switches from 0 to 1. Great for finding stoich (if the Link was any good at following it ) but useless for any guage. Gauge. Guauge?

The v2 was meant to be able to be profiled to whatever output worked best for your ECU - but last time I checked, this hadn't been implemented.

Thumbs up

Thanks chaps. I'll just be using it for logging - won't be running closed loop. It's the version 2 and provides a 0-1v narrowband output, and it seems to use a lookup table so you can rescale it to your heart's desire.

As of last night, all the resistors are in place. Should finish it tonight...

I get a funny situation running on the narrowband output from my 1.5.

On warm start it puts out a voltage before the sensor has warmed up and given valid readings, but the value is such that the ECU thinks it is lean and adds fuel making the car splutter, then the sensor warms up, realises it is way too rich, ECU goes from <10:1 up to 20:1 before settling to closed loop stoich. Very annoying!

Need to look at the AT Tiny 26L code and see what can be done with it?

Not a problem with the Link as it won't start using closed loop until the engine is either warm or has been running for 30 seconds, plenty of time for the Wideband sensor to reach its operating temp.
