Just wondering if a HKS decat system of a MY99 uk would fit onto a MY99 STI Type R?? Also what would be a reasonable second hand price for it??

Also I've just fitted some Defi gauges to my car and the boost gauge judders/fluctuates/bounces under zero when not on boost, is this normal??

Thanks in advance

Yes the exhaust should fit straight on.

If you get a KnockLink and AFR monitor and run on Octane boost it should be okay.. but I would feel happier if it was remapped myself.

I would recommend a knocklink, AFR is just a nice extra.

If you have one of the newer Type R's it can be mapped with ecotec I believe.. otherwise you on buying an after market ecu.

There is Pat (Pat@22b.com) that can map it, although bases in Essex does travel - he just mapped me car.. very impressed.

There is Bob (http://www.brdevelopments.com/) but you would have to travel down to them I think.
