Dynamat
Any got any comments on the value of sound deading material like dynamat?
I have considered doing the boot to cut some exhaust noise at cruising speeds. Does this stuff work and is it the 'heat and mould' type matting. I don't fancy cutting it out like underlay like all those 70's motors used to cut the noise from the diff
I have a firestorm fitted to my four door turbo which is nowhere near as hard to live with as I had feared it might be. But I have to quieten down the music it makes before I fully decat.
Thanks

The decat will make a big difference.
Dynamat et al are quite effective - you're probably best looking in the ICE section for more info rather than here, BTW.
If you're planning on doing it all at once, there's a company whose name I can't remember at the moment
who produce kits specifically for the car - both the vibration reduction material such as Dynamat & also the simple heavy foam stuff. It works very well indeed, and is very good value if you need to reduce the noise level quite a bit - it's a lto more expensive getting the bits in parts, if you see what I mean
NoiseKiller? Ah, yup - there it is in the 'ScoobyShop'! Good stuff, anyway. At least, it is if it's the same stuff I got from them a couple of years ago

Noisekiller it is then..
Funny I fitted the Firestorm and didn't mention it to my girlfriend. She didn't notice the increased noise over the ppp box but kept telling me I was driving too fast... all the noise I tell you :-)
thanks
