Apexi Power FC

Maybe that wasn't very clear....Its for my year of engine 6/96 8/98 so I know it will fit but I know there is wiring differences between jap and uk cars will I have to mod ?

When my Power FC was fitted to my car when it had a UK engine (MY98 Terzo) I remember there where/was major trauma's with the pinouts, or so i was told. But when my engine died I had an STi4 engine fitted and do not recall any issues with the Power FC it plugged straight in. So experience tells me that you may have to mod as your car is a UK car.
Check here "enquiries@greenline.jp" and they will tell you for defo

As far as you have similar ECU connectors, like MY99/00 to convert to STi v5/v6 PowerFC, the wiring mod. is quite easy to perform :
2 sensors wires have to be inverted, plus another to be wired to the MAF temp. sensor...

CataIunya, Just wanted to add, I can hire out my commander to you, save you buying one from Japan(£180) or a massive £310(est) from RC. It took me ages finding the right commander as there are three and the one I have is the one that will fit yours. Obviously it will depend on where you map/tune your car.

It pains me to say it but RC Developments will know as it was them who fitted the ECU to my car/UK engine and they had a nightmare sorting the pinouts out but they managed it. They will be able to help you out.

What a suprise.
Maybe I could help you If you want to look at my loom and ECU your are more than welcome. I will just have to check with Rally Colin the none of the wiring was altered and should be able to go like for like.

I will have a hunt and see if it is the same, but for 99-00 cars the difference between sti and uk is the cam/crank sensors are different. On mine and others i have fitted (also 99-00) I didn't modify the pin positions but swapped the wiring from one plug to the other at the sensor end. Ask Andy F, he may be able to answer off the top of his head.

Ive had a Power FC too, Via RC Developments...great job, but i do remember them having to match the ECU to the car 95WRX, so i think that its engine specific...good buy though.....very impressed..
AlanJack Whos AndyF, might need a chat to him if at all poss...what are his charges for examing an existing mapp and maybe a new remap

Thanks for the help guys I thought it was the Crank sensors that have been swapped I beleive to stop people just swapping ECU's. I tried AndyF he couldn't help. Got my ECU now all boxed and shiney with hand controller for £350 !!!!! it seems a very elusive subject the my97 ecu wire swap ?
