.....remove it from the housing for a few seconds?

My MAF housing is broken (2 of the "ears" where the MAF housing holds the induction kit are broken) and I want to replace the MAF housing. This is a no brain job, but since the MAf is held by 2 Torx screws, I was wondering if I can damage it by just unscrewing those screws and removing it and immediately bolt it back into the new housing?

Tks

Wouldn't have thought so, unless when you've removed it you suddenly have the urge to see the effect of microwaving it...!

Seriously though, they are fragile, but not that fragile. Just don't drop it or bash the sensor!
