Legacy Starting Problem - Advise required

My friends my 98 Legacy GTB will not start - It spins over and sparks but keeps flooding.

Is there anything which commonly fails on these which may cause this?

Advise appreciated...

Location: Leeds - It was 562.4bhp@28psi on Optimax, How much closer to 600 with race fuel and a bigger turbo?

if it spins, sparks and gets fuel then.. erm..

Compression test?

My 98 GBT did the same and it was the air flow meter.

Sorry guys for not getting back - thanks for the replies.

He has good compression on all 4...

Has gone to the Subaru Specialists for some TLC, will let him know RE airflow meter.

Will post results from Specialists once known.
