No expert but,

Look out in general for any uprated clutch being different in terms of feel, some of the high spec clutches will do a great job at handling power but not being usable. I believe the organic AP clutches come with a good compromise but watch which one you get. In terms of cost between £300 - £600 !! - depends what ur looking for from Carbon race spec to slightly better torque.

Its generally talked about that the flywheel getting lightened is a good mod, expect to pay around another 400 for this, but it can be done at the same time as the clutch. At a minimum u need the face skimmed on ur old one to ensure proper facing with the clutch.

My suggestion is to phone TSL and talk through ur budget, power and options - or any another good supplier !

If youre not going to do any major mods i would stick to fitting a std clutch which can be brought for about £100 from a motor factors.Ive done this on my previous scoob with no probs what so ever,as have many other people on this board.

The Borg & Beck clutch for £82-ish delivered is impossible to beat. Given the amount of power and torque the engine is likely to be generating, there's no point going for anything more.

Just had a Helix organic clutch fitted to my P1 at CAS motorsport in Ellesmere Port, £410 all in, certainly seems to handle the extra power from the full TSL de-cat system + firestorm bb, green air filter, Ecutek re-map and Turbosmart dumpy

I would stay standard if your not going for mad power.

Harvey using std sti clutch? I thought he had bits uprated in it?

i went for the Lateral Performance clutch and its the daddy! Matey had AP and burnt that out in a day as couldnt take the power. lol

My clutch has just started slipping, a Borg & Beck clutch at £82 sounds ideal, where can I buy this clutch and at this price?

Er, no. £82 is the whole shebang, including cover plate and release bearing.

Here.

...And before someone pipes up that anything this cheap must be carp, they're at least as good as the OE Subaru clutch, and there are more than a few people on this BBS who'll vouch for that.

Shame about the price increase. Someone must've told them what a bargain it was!

I'm running about 320bhp and 300lb/ft of torque, and while I'm not into standing starts the car gets used pretty hard. Clutch isn't showing any sign of complaint, although it's only been in a couple of months. I'm sure there have been a few people running bigger power than that on them, so I'm sure you'll be fine.
