I have a dawes mbc fitted and where the dawes passes over the black pipe from the alloy tank there is a mucky black liquid (not a lot, a few dribbles), it seems to have been forced from the dawes?
any ideas?

Sounds like some oil vapour residue which is seeping out, being as the engine is not now taking the air back in, to recirculate it, the residues from the oil vapour have to find a drain point somewhere, so "that's it".
Not a problem, just messy, so will be a routine thing to clean up.
