Hi All,

I bought an impreza 1999 1.5L cs extra, imported from Japan and I am wondering how to find out if it is a AWD model. Can sometime advice please?

Any other information like links to manuals or other information would also be very much appreciated.

Thanks

Theos

Look underneath it and count the drive-shafts (one per wheel = AWD)

A shaft going from either the gearbox/differential/transfer case assembly (at the front), or the differential (at the back) to the middle of each wheel hub. Each shaft will have a flexible rubber 'ribbed' boot at each end, which holds the grease for the flexible coupling. If you rotate the wheel, the shaft will rotate with it.
