Started in morning frist time went to work. About 10 hour later jump in car to go home turns over but will not start.Wife said it has dun it with her a few weeks back but after 10 mins it started.Cars been fine untill now. Car turns over but just will not start can anybody help.Car is a my95 WRX

 

Seems like the starter motor or battery

 

thanks m8 just been for a look had to jump start and is runing fine so its new battery time

ive just had same symptoms and changed battery but still the same mine is a MY95 uk turbo wagon.

Andy may have found our problem my car wouldn't start again today so left it till I got back home(had to get bus) any way ive been looking and found that the terminals are quite dirty so ive cleaned them up and hey started first time.

my95 was the battery everything ok now

 

 

car been fine for a few days and tonight would not start again so I bump started it few feet and fired up easy.Got home let car cool down and stop engine and restart frist time.Can anyone help

 

as above check the terminals on the starter motor just give them a good clean

But car turns over fine just will not fire up ( new battery has been put on)would it be crank/cam/or water sensors

 

could well be the cam sensor if it is turning over

Have a look at all of them is the best way to go. Do you know of a way to test them If I can get home before it gets to dark.Thanks for the help.

More news. Went to start car tonight would not start so took battery lead off for ten mins put back on fired up frist time. Is the ECU playing up or is it a cam/crank sensor

sounds like cam sensor

just order a cam sensor from grade-a

i have the same problem, so i ordered one today to eliminate this from the equation

cost £25+vat
