I've been told that the MY00 UK have a variable wash/wipe on the front wipers.
If this is true, can these be fitted to a MY99 UK car, and what parts would I need to do this???
Thanks
Andy

Andy,
Yes it does, on the the wiper stalk there is a bit you can turn which allows (from memory) 4 different speed settings.
Aside from needing the wiper stalk I have no idea where the electronics which control it would be.

Ron,
This was posted on behalf of a friend with a MY99 UK car!!
I don't feel that I've spent too much money on modifications for my car!!!
I think I've spent about £25k so far!! Although that is for everything on or in the car!! Bearing in mind that takes into account what I've bought before for my MY97 car, I don't think it's that much!
What car can perform like mine, for about the same money??
Fair enough, I now might be able to stretch to a second hand P1, but this way I can do the modifications bit by bit! Rather than outlay the whole sum, and STILL want to modify it!!!
With my insurance at around £800, I'm not complaining either!
I don't think I've done too badly either. I think it looks good and performs well (considering it's not had an ECU modification - yet!!)
There are guys who have just concentrated on just styling, or just performance, or just stereo and have spent more money than me. I feel I have a nice blend of all three without it breaking the bank!! You don't seem to be judging their use of their money!!
Yes I will probably spend more money on the car, but on sensible things like brakes, or stereo which can be moved from car to car!!
I have a MY99 car, and I think it's new enough for me, and is fine for the next few years. Although I may be tempted with an STI7!! We'll see!!
I didn't realise I had to justify what I do or don't buy for my car!!
Andy
PS - I thought this may have been of interest for other owners, rather than a judgement on my spending!!

WOW Tiger
I didn't mean to upset you, or your use of money, god knows I've spent a bl**dy fortune over the years, I've just noticed a trend of changing things from newer cars onto older ones, I think your cars is very nice (not that I've seen it in the flesh).
My car is gradually becoming more modified so I certainly wasn't making a judgement.
Sorry if I offened.

Surely with all the things you have/or want to change on your car you'd have been better to buy a newer car.

Sorry Ron, but I took the above comment as a dig!!! A bit of an outburst I know!!!
It's just that you sounded like my mum for a bit!!!
