I am thinking of buying a turbo timer for my MY00 Impreza, and wondered which is the one to have?
How does it wire into the car? - Does it plug into the diagnostics socket?
Will it interfere with my Toad alarm? (which i think is pony and may well change anyway) Thoughts on the Clifford concept range?

Thanx.

one of the alarms in the clifford range has a basic turbo time as part of it..!! so it will work with the alarm e.t.c

Not necessary, unless you run it hard right up to exiting the car. Just run sensibly and off boost for the last couple of miles which you have to do/should, anyway around town. Put the money to something more useful.

Most of the toad alarms don't seem to cater for turbo timers.

Some of the newer turbo timers calculate how long you should idle the engine for before switching off - better than guess work I suppose.

Go for a good brand name like Apexi, HKS, Blitz etc.

Fitted my Blitz turbo timer at the weekend with a built in boost gauge, was easy to fit but doesn't allow you to set the standard alarm till it finishes.

Apexi for me - fits nicely into the little spare plate next to the cup holder (so nice and neat for me).

Lots of features & easy to use!

They are from a subaru legacy -17" - one has the tiniest mark. All four with bridgestone tyres with hardly any wear for £400 and the fifth one should be forthcoming soon! The guy had bough mille miglia's for his legacy.
I've also changed the exhaust for an Afterburner total decat!
