Hi,
I know this topic has been discussed before, but I am confused .
The '99 Scooby manual suggests that octane 95 fuel should be used. I took a look at the fuel cap cover and it says 'Super Unleaded only'. Can someone please clarify this contradiction?
Thanks,
Sonu...

Does it not say "95, or above"? The explanation that I've heard, is that there is a lower octane available in other parts of the EU and the term "super" in this context, refers to 95 RON. Both my cars have been run on nothing but 95 RON and I've never had any problems. The latest set of Dyno tests "appear" to tell an interesting story. Similar unmodified MY98's were tested. One on 95RON and the other on 98 RON. The results looked almost identical to me. Interesting as well, to see that the peak power outputs were almost 235BHP. Either the Rolling Road was a fair bit out on the day, or UK models are very conservatively rated. Have fun.
