I have a MY98 STi 5 door that suffers from what appears to be fuel starvation when pushing on around sharp corners. The symptoms are most easily observed around small roundabouts when the engine cuts completely for a split second usually on the apex of the exit or just after. The harder the car is made to turn right before exiting the worse it gets, and the lower the fuel level the worse it gets. It is possible to get the effect at any fuel level below 1/2 tank. I have had the system cleaned and the engine oil level lowered to cure the known oil surge problem but this has not helped.
Any ideas ?

Pls check your fuel pump. Moreover look at the fuel pump fuse in the engine bay. I f the fuse has turned brown you have a shorting somewhere .
