-been priced 50 each for calipers and 25-30 for disks?

pressume my 97 cars still have 2 pot calipers but are they better on the my97 updated car?

Thumbs down

I think the brakes were updated in a way that makes them worth retro-fiting, on the '99 cars.
My '98 UK car had ****e 2 pot brakes, it now has Brembo's and 335mm discs.:

Don't bother with these. TBH I'd surprised if the Sport's brakes are noticeably better than what you've already got. Most likely to be the same, but they could be worse!

As Alcazar says, the only OE parts worth retrofitting are the four pots. Put the money you've got now towards a set of them, and keep an eye on the For Sale pages for a bargain...

thanks gents.....

ps..bought a omp strut brace-(off same car)-nice nick-trial fitted ok.£30.

to fit do i just do anything more than unbolt the required bolts from the strut top-or "will the old girl fall apart on my drive"?*

*sorry for being too technical.i'll try and keep it more simple in future...and if it does fall apart-i'll have a dust pan and shovel to hand!

when i fitted a top mount stut brace to my pug 205 i just unbolted and fitted.

the weight of the car will hold the struts in place - you get me?

just don't jack it up!
