Below is a piccie of a standard ECU with the location of the Spare Socket and J1 Resistor marked.

If the ECU is a standard Jecs/Subaru ECU that has been remapped it will probably have a 28-Pin DIL (Dual In Line) IC soldered or socketed into this position.

J1 will also be cut or removed.

The PROVA ECU's I have seen have had an adaptor fitted to the spare IC location (as Per the ScoobyECU Adaptor), but are very, very badly soldered.

Does anyone have a photo of a standard ECU as fitted to a MY95 WRX. I have a Zero-Sports Sticker on mine but dunno if it's just the chip been replaced or the whole thing. Need to know as I'm wanting a ScoobyECU if it will fit.

Cheers

John

Scott, do you have a pic of one of these then. contacted you the other day on e-mail about this, I need to find out whether my ecu is standard with zero-sports chip or completely different. Don't have access to my car at the mo as it's getting engine re-build. If ECU is able will prob be asking for ScoobyECU.

Cheers

John
