This ones probably done 2 death by now but humor me eh
The walbro motorsport fuel pump for the scoob ITP160 only has 2 cables on it which I take to be a positive and a negative (power only) but the pump fitted in the OEM pump on the 93WRX has 4
If looking at the back of the plug where the wires enter & numbering the pins from top left as 1 top right 3 bottom right 4 and bottom left 6.
Pin 1 has a thin blue cable
Pin 3 has a thicker blue cable with a yellow strip down it
Pin 4 has a thick black cable
Pin 5 has a thin black cable
So whats the wiring for the walbro ? Whats the other 2 pins for ?
Any threads on changing this pump ? As search didn`t shed any light on it Also what kind of pressure should I see on the fuel rails once the pumps changed ?
Thanx in advance
Pete

Pete,
The other two wires are for the fuel level gauge. Once you have undone the 8mm nuts (on the oval cover) the unit will then come out, attached to this is the old fuel pump and a little float for the fuel level gauge.
Basically just replace the old pump with the new one, its pretty self explanatory once you see it , just remember to get the polarity correct.

Any more help on fitting a Walbro fuel pump and FSE fuel regulator to a classic import WRX ?
Where DO the 2 wires go to when pump is out?
Any fire risk from the petrol or special precautions to take ?
Thanks

As Iain says,
Once the old pump is out its self explanatory m8.
The only precaution i`d emphisise is to ensure that when you splice into the pump cables do them at different lengths so as to ensure they cant short circuit I used heat shrink over the wires once i`d soldered them just as an extra precaution.
