Hi,

Im looking into getting a scoob with a ppp fitted. What is actualy involved in this, and how much more power should i be looking at, and 0-60 times etc. I have heard there should be a certificate to verify this from pro drive. Is this right?

Thanks

Andy

I might get flamed for this but, your warrenty is either up, or close to it. The PPP is good for new scoobs because it doesnt affect warrenty and is insurance friendly.
There are more cost efficiant ways to modify an older car than prodrives PPP.
have you thought about full decat and TEK3 remap? should be good for about 280bhp and cost about half as much as PPP.

Peanuts... MY99 so same situation.

I dont have PPP, so can only speculate to my memory accuracy but i think its ECU, Exhaust BB and Samco type hoses?
not a lot for near on £1800 IMHO but its down to warrenty issues.
I wouldnt pay too much over the odds for PPP because you will no doubt change some/all of it for your own mods and (judging by the threads in here about resale) you will not see any of that premium when the time comes to update.
Good luck buying the car tho`, not stopped grinning about mine since I got it

Peanuts.....

on the STI-8

the PPP

Includes:

PPP ECU
PPP Fuel Pump
PPP Back Box
PPP Sports CAT

I think the STI-7 is exactly the same minus the fuel pump

If you want to mod the car you end up buying you might be better off with a standard car. Contrary to what has been said, I think PPP will add to resale value. As a rough guestimate, I'd say you'd end up paying £500 more for a PPP'd classic right now.

If you're thinking of buying, don't forget that warranties are extendable, just that they have to be extended when or before the original 3 year warranty expires. Costs roughly £500 for 2 years, incl recovery. (Cost depends on mileage and FSSH)

Oh, and it adds 20bhp, bringing a MY00 up to around 240bhp.
