Question

Found in the spare wheel well of my new WRX '03

The 2 plates mate and the screws are clearly there to hold them together. The bit on the left is an electrical "thing" with four spade terminals at one end....

Personally I havent a clue ???

EXETER (n.)

All light household and electrical goods contain a number of vital components plus at least one exeter. If you've just mended a fuse, changed a bulb or fixed a blender, the exeter is the small, flat or round plastic or bakelite piece left over which means you have to undo everything and start all over again.
I suppose this applies to cars as well... Looks like it's a new Exeter - very rare!!

it's the mounting plate for the right hand side of your flux capacitor. without it fitted you could potentially be lost in time.

Until it is fitted do not go over 88 mph.

sorry couldn't resist

I'm going with CD changer mounts. Are the screws 3.5mm or 4.5mm? Normal stereo size.

Dont think it would be CD Changer - I cant see why that would need the two parts to bolt together so securely. Where does the std fit autochanger go - I'll check if there are any matching holes....

It's an self fit annoying rattle, just unwrap it and deploy it in the spare wheel well.
