WideBand verson 2 out soon !
#1
Anybody had any experience with any of the edge tech stuff. The DIY kits will be available soon for about £70, then the sensor for about £20. Wideband O2 sensor for about a tonne.......yer gotta be happy with that ? I hope it has a narrowband output aswell doesn't mention it tho.....

I think a fair few have a version 1 or 1.5 - I've got a 1.5 & it appears to work very well. It agrees with big posh stuff in RR places, anyway.
There is narrowband output on the 1.5, but it's useless for anything other than stoich (although a useful feature is being able to adjust the repored stoich point - so you can drop the AFR to aim for 15.4:1 instead of 14.7:1 if you don't have a cat). I say 'useless' as it leaps from 0v to 1v with nothing in the middle.
But if you're tuning, just rig up a collection of resistors & reduce the 0-5v linear wideband output to 0-1v (if that's what the ECU is expecting) & it's sorted - although probably 'upside-down' (rich is 0.1v, lean is 0.9v).
I'm pretty sure that the version 2 is going to have an adaptable wideband output, ie it can be 'edited' to whatever voltage & +/- the user wants, but I'm not convinced this is in the first batch...
