Thinking of replacing the fuel tank with an in car cell (think they do them to fit in the spare wheel space) ..... has anyone done this and where is the best place to get one from ?

Not really sure this is a practical idea on a road car, but if you're using it for competition, different kettle of fish of course!
If you're thinking of a tank that'd fit in the spare wheel well without intruding into the boot space itself, I don't believe there is such a thing made for the Scoob. You could get one custom made, but there'd be little point as the well in the Impreza is so small you'd be lucky to get much more than 20-30 litres in it, and the pump & other gubbins would still disrupt the boot floor.
The 60 litre FIA cells you can buy off the shelf take up the majority of the floor space in the boot, wrapping round the spare wheel and extending forward to the bulkhead, so you'd basically be losing your boot as a load carrier.
You'd also need new pump, piping, fillers and so-on, and you'd have to put up with the interior of your motor always smelling of fuel.
If you want one, ATL or Premier are the people, somewhere around £2K for a ballpark figure. For a road car though, even one that's used for the occasional track day, there's not really any point.

Thanks for that. It's something that i will have to think about..this has helped.
Not worried about the loss of boot space as i'm getting a full roll cage installed too, i am also re-routing new fuel lines and have a new fuel pump to fit so i am half way there. Just got to think about the cost and the fuel smell.
