I have a '96 WRX with 260 hp but still standard fuel pump and guess it would be better to fit a stronger one, can anyone advise what kind of pump/capacity I should be looking for.

check out www.takakaira.co.jp for parts, they aren't to far away from you (relatively, if your profile is correct).

The Walbro/FSE 255 lph pump is more than ideal for your application and will allow for most future modifications.

Fitting is quite simple, if you can use a soldering iron, or have a friend who can. There are many posts relating to the install as well on Scoobynet.
