I'm putting this down to the hot weather (as it has seemed infinitely better tonight) - but has anyone else experienced ropey acceleration at light throttle in 4th and 5th?
Please someone say they have?
....I never thought I'd say this, but "roll on the cooler weather!" lol

Hey, I sure as hell hope so too, i was a might p**sed off when i went to overtake something and nothing happened. It feels like the turbo has literally "switched off" doesnt it?
Im going to call the garage to see if theyve got any idea, what model is yours? Mines a standard '03 WRX.

I agree, but i personally would have thought that it would have had a bit of a higher temperature threshold than about 28 degree....as soon as the external temp seems to go past 28, the turbo looses it.....

yeh, we've got turbo's over here, there pretty new tho. The weather doesn't help it out much tho, unless you live up in New England or out by the Great Lakes.
it gets up to about 105 F (i guess about 40 C) down south, and out west it hits 115 F (around 46 C) every other day. Most of us drink a lot and do as little as possible durin the summer.

I think it is the weather Burr, mine felt below par yesterday as well. Lower atmospheric pressure and hot temps dont do anything for perfomance. Its probably going round corners too well now anyway!
