4.25lts of oil if the filter is being changed.. Check that the oil level is "BETWEEN" the Low and High marks on the dip stick when cold.. It should reach High when it is up to temp..
Using the radiator drain plug to empty will let around 4 ltrs of coolant out.. refill with 3 ltrs of new coolant and top up with water

If you drain the cooling system completely you will need a lot more than 4 litres to fill back up. Book says capacity is 7.2 litres from empty, and the last time I drained mine, I got something like 6 out. Set the heater to full hot to make sure the matrix drains (and subsequently re-fills) fully.
Mickey - removing the oil filter should be easy. There's no problem at all gaining access once you've removed the undertray. When you change the oil, make sure you pre-fill the new filter, and, even more importantly, disconnect the crank sensor and dry-crank the engine until the oil pressure light on the dash goes out.

i have refilled with about 7L 50/50 mix but now the coolant in the header tank goes down all most empty! and the coolant tank by the battery is over flowing with coolant it comes back out over the lid and the over flow pipe! should there be a rubber seal on the top on the tank by the battery?.
is there a block in the engine or is the tank by the battery and in the wing blocked?.
i dont know what to do now, i fitted a new rad and opened the themostat so more water goes around the engine is this wrong? should i get a new themostat and fit it in so the coolant opens and closes it?.
