can anyone tell me what boost pressure my MY97 UK Turbo should be running. its got cat back exhaust 57i and bailey evo d/v. i am getting 1 bar max at mo. whats best and safest mod to squeeze a bit more out of her?

i got rid of secondary but down pipe cat is still in. i heard that you need a re-map if you take cat out. what do you think? also don't know if i can be arsed changing it every MOT.

No remap required If you did the downpipe and just replaced the centre section for the MOT you should! pass. It is worth the hassle
Where abouts in the country are you as there are one or two places which have twin catted centre sections to hire out for those MOT days.

i am near Wrexham in N.Wales. I have been asking around for a sympathetic MOT station but nothin doin at the mo.How do you come off with insurance i have told mine about middle cat but its not road legal without down pipe cat.

Your car is not legaly required to have a cat, it is however legally required to pass an emmissions test.
Insurance went up £90 when i lost both cats

nice one mate.its worth it then. i could still do with knowing what boost my car should be running at mo. i heard you can push it up to about 1.2 bar with no fueling probs on standard ecu but don't know how to go about this. its currently running between 0.9 and 1 bar

i think youll find overboost at 1.125 bar i did
