As you may already know my check light has been on for ages now, so I decided to get it sorted out.

The car is a Belgian import, MY01 WRX, it is just on 18 months old with full servce history, 20000mls.

My local dealer put it on the diagnostic machine and it printed this out(£12.00 plus VAT) ........CODE=P0037 heater control circuit low (blanc 01 censor) DD to interpret via IN,re-book as appropriate.

Now then the dealer hasnt seen this one before so he told me to carry as normal until he gets in touch with Subaru.

I ring back 4 days later, because he couldnt be ar5ed ringing me back, to be told that the car needs to be booked in and there is a fault on the wireing harness.

How much are we talking about I asked, about £60 plus vat.
I have booked a car to use as he said he needed the car for a couple of days.

My questions are, has anyone heard of this fault and what is it, why do I have to pay to have it fixed, and why is it so cheap, considering he needs the car for two days?

Thanks in anticipation Yoza

Yoza
I would have sent you an e-mail with the error codes but can see no address on your profile.

Cheers

Yoza, they need the car for 2 days because they wont have a F#cking clue where to start and need the first 1 1/2 days to find what they are looking for.

The quoted £60 labour charge proves this.

Give me a ring and i will tell you where i would personally take it.
Dont worry even you should be able to find your way there.

Zippy

But your car should still be under warranty!!!!! (It's just over 18 months old isn't it?)
The same dealer (And we all know who they are!! ) tried the same thing with me a while ago saying my car was only under 12 months belgian warranty when in fact it has three!!!!!
Take no **** from them and get them to at least attempt to have it repaired under warranty!!!!!
If it ain't covered under warranty, then at least you have tried. I have the belgian to uk warranty translation if you want it? Drop me a text or email at work and I'll sort it for ya..

Good luck

Nick
