Question

Hi all,

I've recently started hillclimbing my April 97, UK, totally-unmodified scoobie with a bit of success. Time has come to move on to the next stage and try to increase performance (without trying for class records, etc.).

Being totally new to this and not very technicaly minded, it strikes me that the best I can start with is the exhaust system and the springs. In reverse order, can anyone recommend what I should do to the suspension? I've seen the TSL Motorsport eiback packages but don't really know if a Pack 4, for example, is much better than a Pack 5. Any advice?

Also, on the exhaust system, there are so many options it is very confusing for a newbie. Should I keep it legal and go for a free flow cat downpipe or replace it altogether? And should I replace any other bits of the exhaust system? And which would you recommend TSL, Prodrive or Scoobysport? Would like to keep it nearer to a grand than two if possible.

Lastly, should I be thinking in any other directions?

TIA for any help, it will be really appreciated.
